If you do run out of gas after normal business hours, simply call your Revere Gas location as you normally would. You will be connected with our after-hours answering service, and in most cases, a technician will be able to make it out to you that same day. Please note that after-hours service charges are addressed on an individual basis depending on your plan.
When it comes to gas appliances, safety is a top priority. Do not try to repair valves, regulators, connectors or controls by yourself. Instead, call our professionals, who are on-hand at all times to assist you safely.
For many of our commercial customers, having a reliable source of propane can be vital to their business. For nursing homes, hospitals, restaurants, schools and more, a lapse in gas service can be more than just an inconvenience! We understand, and are here for you around the clock to offer 24-hour customer support and service. We take care to keep our commercial customers safe, as well as the people they serve.
If you ever suspect a propane leak or smell gas in your home, follow the steps listed below:
1.) NO FLAMES OR SPARKS. Immediately put out all smoking materials and other open flames. Do not operate lights, appliances, telephones, or cell phones. Flames or sparks from these sources can trigger an explosion or a fire.
2.) LEAVE THE AREA IMMEDIATELY. Get everyone out of the building or area where you suspect gas is leaking.
3.) SHUT OFF THE GAS. Turn off the main gas supply valve on your propane tank if it is safe to do so. To close the valve, turn it to the right (clockwise).
4.) REPORT THE LEAK. From a neighbor’s home or other nearby building away from the gas leak, call your nearest Revere Gas location right away. If you can’t reach your propane retailer, call 911 or your local fire department.
5.) DO NOT RETURN TO THE BUILDING OR AREA until your Revere Gas technician, emergency responder, or qualified service technician determines that it is safe to do so.
6.) GET YOUR SYSTEM CHECKED. Before you attempt to use any of your propane appliances, Revere Gas or a qualified service technician must check your entire system to ensure that it is leak-free.
